Fundraising
Hold a fund-raising event for WWiN and raise money to help support the work we do for women and children across Wearside. From arts and crafts, bathtubs full of beans to 'zzzzzz' sponsored pyjama days. Your donations make an enormous difference to women and children - thank you. You can fundraise for WWiN when you shop with Amazon. Simply shop at AmazonSmile or with AmazonSmile ON in the Amazon Shopping app, and AmazonSmile donates to Wearside Women In Need at no extra cost to you.
Donate directly to WWiN - make a one-off donation via Head Office, Just Giving or PayPal. To set up a regular payment via Direct Debit, contact our Head Office or set up via Just Giving.
WWiN give mobile phones to the women we support. Often their own phones have been damaged by perpetrators in the belief it destroys evidence (it doesn’t) or they have been retained by police for evidence. Occasionally women use the mobiles we give out as a safety planning handset, it’s kept to support women and children exiting abusive relationships as safe as possible.
The phones we give out are a lifeline for these women and children in giving them the ability to call for emergency services when needed, to maintain their support networks and to continue to speak to their support workers. Mobile phones are taken for granted in today’s society, let’s ensure the women we support have a voice. We accept new and used mobile handsets and chargers that are in perfect working condition.
